Welcome to the Nechako Forestry Forum website. This site was developed by the logging, hauling, road construction, road maintenance, silviculture and forestry contractors working in the Vanderhoof Forest District of British Columbia, Canada. At a large safety meeting in December 2005, many recommendations were made that suggested communications between people working in the forest needed to improve. Changes in workers ability to access information were also highly recommended.

This site was developed to improve communications and to make information more readily available on topics such as local safety programs, fire fighting measures, emergency response plans, hazard alerts, upcoming courses, and so on.
